the DS lite is/has come out in Japan in three different colors: crystal white(apple ipod color), a dark/navy blue, and a lighter blue/gray. the DS lite is 1/3 smaller than the larger version, and a few ounces lighter. the buttons are adjusted slightly to allow for more ease of use, and the mic has been moved to the center on the hindge so the person can use it easier. finally one of the best new features, is a brighter screen. this screen has been changed like the micro was, to where you can change the brightness.
i'm really looking forward to this new, tweeked hardware. i'm probobly going to get the dark blue one so the images will appear brighter. i've learned that if you have a darker border around your picture, the image stands out more.
i think that the DS lite will be released in May to the US.

Tech Stuffs
i'm getting very excited about the revolution. i keep hearing from my many podcasts that it's coming out in the fall of 06. i would like to see the cabela games, like deer hunter and such, on the revolution b/c the controller acts like a light gun.
looking forward to the new wifi standard "N". to compare it with "G", G can connect at about 108ish Kb/s and has a limited range. with the new N standard, it can do 600ish Kb/s and is more powerful so this will allow you to reach places and distances you couldn't before. hopefully, this will make wifi more of a common place. i'm also not against it being a municipal service.
anxious to see what the new ipod product is. there is talk about having a standard size ipod that is all screen, and making that screen touch sensitive. this way you can have a larger screen to watch your video content and control it in a unique way.

GETS site. this is a site on a flier that i found for this trip thing. as i was looking at the site they showed different courses they can teach on, and the one about wireless networking and such is what really peeked my interest.

Two Opportunities
Today two professors came up to me and each offered me an opportunity.
one is wanting me to join with another student and work on a project that deals with crash simulations and doing stuff with the data from the program.
the other is wanting to send me abroad. He said that i could go to one of three different places in Europe: England, Germany, and Portugal. All my living and language expenses would be covered, as well as any training required. It would be for one semester during the summer or fall, not sure if it is just this summer and fall or also the ones for next year. it would be like taking just one class and i would be graded accordingly.
